La Belgique considère qu’il est important de poursuivre les échanges sur la mise en œuvre de l’art.36 du 1er Protocole additionnel aux Conventions de Genève et l’obligation d’évaluer la licéité de toute nouvelle arme. Mon pays plaide pour l’universalisation de cet instrument et de la mise en œuvre de cette obligation, et est disposée à partager son expérience dans ce contexte.
[Belgium considers it important to continue discussions on the implementation of Article 36 of [AP I] and the obligation to assess the legality of any new weapon. My country pleads for the universalization of this instrument and the implementation of this obligation, and is willing to share its experience in this context.]
